At My Little Star, we believe that learning begins from birth. We instil the joy of learning within young minds through hands-on experiences that enhance the child’s natural curiosity to learn more.

90% of a child’s brain develops by the age of five. We take this very seriously!
We focus on the importance of early communication and fostering language skills. We encourage children to take risks in play to build their confidence and self-esteem. With access to high-quality educational facilities and evidence-based teaching practices, we implement play-based learning to positively impact children’s understanding of the world in which they live. Our centre is influenced by the RIE (Resource for Infant Educarers) approach to infant care, which focuses on respectful relationships and the utmost care of our youngest children, fostering education in a play-based environment.

Our Approach

My Little Star’s dynamic, vibrant and inspiring program is designed by our experienced early childhood educators. Our program is based on the knowledge that every child is a natural learner and they individually develop at their own pace. Unlike outdated programs of previous generations that expected all children to learn the same things at the same time, our program is flexible, individualistic and engaging. We aim to offer every child a unique, rich and enticing learning experience that will give them the best possible start in life.

 

We work in tandem with the child’s family so that we have an in-depth understanding of their journey and customise the child’s care and educational offerings accordingly. 

 

Developing programs that are customised to each child, we build methods that are based on their interests and abilities. We introduce and reinforce concepts such as literacy, numeracy, science, sustainability, art, health and social awareness – in the way that works best for them, through interactive and play-based methods. 

 

Our Way
Reggio Emilia’ embodies the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF); it’s more than a philosophy, it is an approach that gives children total freedom over what they choose to learn and what skills to develop. We believe ‘children are capable and competent’ and treat them as such.
